Event Details
-
Event includes snowshoes, trekking poles and a guided tour on the slopes after hours.
-
Post-adventure drink voucher for Copper Kettle Restaurant and Bar located at the base of the slopes (hot cocoa or an adult beverage).
-
Snowshoeing is a great group activity so gather your friends/family to join you on the mountain! However, larger groups may be accommodated with adequate notice. Contact us for details.
-
We recommend checking the weather forecast the day of your event! One thing that can ruin a snowshoe outing is not wearing the appropriate clothing! Dressing in layers or in clothes you can unzip and ventilate is ideal. Hats, gloves/mittens, goggles and face masks are also recommended if frigid. Some folks like to carry a small day pack with water and an extra clothing layer.
-
We recommend wool or wool blend socks to keep your feet warm. Any snow boots or hiking shoes will work.
Understanding the requirements to participate:
Age - minimum 7 years old
Weight - Under 250 lbs.
Difficulty level - 3 out of 5 (Intermediate)
Beginner Distance 1 - 1.5 miles with over 500 feet of elevation change during the excursion (you will experience a 500 ft. vertical drop!)

Intermediate Distance 2 - 2.5 miles with over 800 feet of elevation change during the excursion (you will experience a 900 ft. vertical drop!) Time - 1 to 1.5 hours on the snow
NOTE: This is an endurance event, not a race. You will be snowshoeing for over an hour and your elevation gain and loss will total over 1000 feet.
The start and finish area is located at the base of Bryce mountain behind the Main Lodge next to the skis school entrance. All participants should plan to arrive and check in at least 30 minutes prior to their event and attend the required pre-event meeting 15 minutes before the excursion begins.
