Race Difficulty​

Beginner through Advanced Racers. 

 

This course has a NET LOSS in elevation of over 1,000' across the course making it accessible for all-levels of racers. This means that you will descend more than climb in the race. With this said, there will be some climbing on the course. Mandatory points are more than achievable for newer racers to complete the course in the allotted time. This with kids should expect to hike on some rocky trails with small scrambling. Mountain biking is only on beginner and intermediate trails with mandatory checkpoints only located on green trails.  Biking will be on gravel roads, single track trails, and paved roads. Paddling will be on a Class I and below river.

Advanced Racers will be equally challenged with elevation and difficulty while rewarded with amazing single track and strategic route choices/options.

Course Description 

This course features quality mountain biking trails maintained by the Shenandoah Valley Bike Coalition. These are fast, flowy, & fun! You will have many scenic & beautiful views across the entire course. The course also features excellent wooded trekking sections. Racers will have many route choices to allow numerous decisions and strategy on this fun course! Racers will have a bike-drop located 7 minutes from the race start location the morning of the race. Racers can stage small bags here with resupply which will be transported back to the finish line. The race will feature bike transportation by REV3 Endurance across the course as well as other logistical support.

• 4:00pm - Car Camping Opens at Basecamp. Check-In with REV3 Endurance @ trailer first. 

• 5:00 - 7:00pm Early Packet Pick-up Race Start/Finish (Restaurant on Site)​

• 5:00pm Pre-Race Social at Basecamp with Firepits, Smores, & more. 

 

April 5th: 6 Hour Race 

• 6:15 am: Transition area opens at the REV3Endurance Trailer Start/Finish

• 6:30 am: Race Day Check-In Opens at REV3 Trailer 

• 7:45 am: 6 Hour Pre-Race Brief

• 8:00 am: All Races Start! 

• 2:00 pm: 6 Hour Race End + Transportation to Back to Resort.

• 2:30pm: Post Race Party & Hot Food @ Basecamp

Race Packet Pickup

Receive your bibs, shirts, maps, rules of travel, swag, & epunch! 

Early Packet Pick-Up allows you more time with maps and less stress on race morning!

Mandatory Equipment

This equipment is for your own safety:

​

• ​Enough food and water for the event- 

• Bike (gravel, MTB, hybrid, recumbent, unicycle, but no E bikes!)

• Bike Helmet, Bike Lights, Bike repair (tube, plugs, pump, mini tool, chain link, etc.)

• Bike Rear Red Blinkie Light Required for ALL Racers.

• Front White Light only Required for12 Hour Racers. 

• Clothing appropriate for weather conditions

• Cell phone fully charged

• Dry bag for your cell phone

• No outside maps are allowed!

• Race Maps, Rules of Travel, & Electronic Punch (*All provided by REV3 Endurance @ packet pick-up). 

• 2 glowsticks per boat and 1 glowstick per person with ability to attach to boats and PFDs. (zip ties or string)

• PFD, Paddles, and Boats provided by REV3 Endurance. *No Paddle Bags.

​General Refund Policy

REV3Endurance offers credit for future races if you must cancel your race entry. All credit processing is subject to a $10 processing fee. 

​

More than 90 days before the event.

• 100% of your registration fee will be given as future credits. Race credit will be good for 12 months.

​Between 90 to 45 days before the event.

• 75% of your registration fee will be given as future credits, minus processing fee when initiated 30 days before race day. Race credit will be good for 12 months.

​

Between 45-10 days prior to the event:

• 50% of your registration fee will be given as future race credits, minus processing fee. Race credit will be good for 12 months.

​

Less than 10 days before the event.

• No credits within 10 days from an event.

• We cannot refund registration fees.

**Active Duty Military: If you are unable to attend due to active duty, you may receive a refund upon providing official documentation regarding your deployment. Please contact nick@rev3endurance.com for additional details.
