​Race Descriptions

​

36 Hour Mini-Expedition Race
Are you ready for a course through the western wilderness with remote rivers, northern pine forests, alpine mountains, whitewater, desert single-track and so much more??? This is a linear course with route choices which traverses multiple diverse and beautiful landscapes. This race takes place at over 6000 feet and will push you over 8000 feet during some sections of the race. We will bus races from Curt Gowdy State Park to a surprise location where you will embark on a memorable journey through diverse landscapes! This course is tough beautiful and rewarding with a truly expedition feel! Come explore the west with REV3 Endurance!

12 Hour Race

Do you think you are Cowboy Tough?  If you want to see some of the amazing state of Wyoming and test your Adventure Racing skills, then sign up for the Cowboy Tough Race. Where we will push you to your endurance limits.  You may bend but your goal is not to break.  This race takes place at over 6000 feet and will push you over 8000 feet during some sections of the race.  It offers breathtaking views and amazing mountain biking and trekking sections. You will have two different paddle sections in this race.  Come out and tackle the winds and the wild west of Wyoming with REV3Endurance.

6 Hour Race
Are you ready to dust off your boots (a.k.a. trekking shoes) and saddle up and enjoy this fun and exciting beginner to Intermediate level adventure race? We have a beautiful, rugged course designed for you to run, bike, paddle, and navigate your way around Curt Gowdy State Park in Wyoming. Curt Gowdy is less than 30 minutes from Cheyenne, WY. The Laramie mountains serve as the backdrop for the race. The estimated distance for the 4-6 hour race will be around 20 Miles. The breakdown will be 2-3 miles of paddling,3-5 miles of trekking and 15+ miles of mountain biking.  We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at check-in at Hynds Lodge.  We’ll host the race out of Hynds Lodge at Curt Gowdy State Park. Parking and camping will be walking distance from the race HQ at the Hynds Lodge.

7:00 pm: Post-Race Cookout Starts!

8:00 pm: Race End. Racers must be off the course.

6 Hour Race Estimated Distance (Sell Out is 50 Racers)

15-25 miles (Racers have 6 hours to get as many points possible and cross the finish line)

Estimated Distances: 2 Miles of Paddling, 6 miles of trekking, 15 miles of Biking.

  • Early Packet Pick-up is Friday August 8th, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm - 1264 Granite Springs Rd, Cheyenne, WY 82009

  • Pick Up Location is at Hynds Lodge at Curt Gowdy State Park
     

Race Day Itinerary - Saturday August 9th, 2025 

  • 7:00 am - 8:00 am: Race packet pickup at Hynds Lodge

  • 7:00 am: Transition area opens at Hynds Lodge 

  • 7:00 am: Bike Drop at Hynds Lodge

  • 8:30 am: 6/12 Hour Race Pre-race brief (Mandatory for all team captains)

  • 9:00 am: 6/12 Hour Race Start

  • 3:00 pm: 6 Hour Race Ends

  • 3:30 pm: Race Awards

  • 9:00 pm: 12 Hour Racers must be off the course

  • 9:30 pm: 12 Hour Race Awards (Rolling)
     

 Race Packet Pickup

Packet pickup location will be at the camp Hynds Lodge.  It is required that all forms be completely filled out and signed  for each member of your team.  You will get your race t-shirt, race map, Rules of Travel and any race numbers at packet pick-up.  Medals will be awarded to the team who completed the race.
 

Equipment Provided By Rev3Endurance

All gear necessary for water portions of the race will be provided. This may include, but not limited to: Canoes, paddles, and PFDs.  Race maps, race passport and Rules of Travel will also be provided by REV3Endurance. 

​Mandatory Equipment (Responsibility of each team and\or Racer)

REV3Endurance will not be checking in mandatory equipment. REV3Endurance will be checking randomly throughout the race for mandatory equipment.  Missing mandatory equipment will result in points being decreased from your total score.

  • Bike Lights (Front & Back for the 12 hour racers)

  • Basic repair kit for your bike (One per team)

Food will not be served during the award ceremony after the race.  Please bring some beverages and snacks with you.

Unofficial results will be announced at the awards ceremony and post-race official results will be posted to our web site 24 – 48 hour after the event.
